ABSTRACT
The study sought to establish the influence of knowledge management practices on completion of health projects. The study focused on health projects in Isiolo County. Recently the county has been witnessing a challenge of completion of implemented health projects in time, within budget thus the study found it appropriate to establish the influence of knowledge management practices on completion of these health projects. The study focused on 75 health projects and project managers were used as the respondents. To realize this, the study focused on how the knowledge acquisition, sharing, creation and application could enhance completion of health projects in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive survey of 75 projects drawn from 10 different administrative wards. A census survey technique method was used and data was collected through the use of questionnaires. The secondary data was obtained from published documents such as journals, periodicals, magazines and reports to supplement the primary data. A pilot study was conducted to pretest the validity and reliability of instruments for data collection. The data was analyzed by use of both qualitative and quantitative methods with the help of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.The descriptive analysis such as frequencies, percentages was used to present quantitative data in form of tables. It is notable that there exists strong positive relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable as shown by R value (0.833).The coefficient of determination is between zero and one The data showed that the high R squared value of 0.693.It shows that the independent variables in the study were able to explain 69.30% variation in the completion of projects while the remaining 31.70% is explained by the variables or other aspects outside the model. Thus, the findings of this study serve as a basis for future studies on determinants of completion of health projects. The influence of knowledge management practices on completion of health projects, has not been widely studied which presents gaps in African and Kenyan contexts. The study has contributed to project management by establishing the influence of knowledge management practices on completion of health projects in the Kenyan context
